CAREERS IN ARCHITECTURE
Exigences pour les candidats de l'étranger
The Manitoba Association of Architects is pleased to welcome you on your journey to work and settle in Manitoba.
Canada has two official languages - English and French. In Manitoba, French language services are offered mostly in areas where the French-speaking population is concentrated. In many parts of Manitoba, services are offered only in English.
To practice as an architect in Manitoba, you must be able to communicate daily with English-speakers who may have little or no knowledge of the French language. You must be able to listen, speak, read and write at an intermediate or advanced level of English at work. This means that you must be able to:
- understand complex discussions
- share detailed thoughts
- follow technical texts
- complete effective reports in the English language with confidence
We want to help you as you apply to be recognized as an architect.
The information provided below will guide you as you take the steps to become recognized in your profession. Please note this process is completed in the English language and all documents requested must be translated into English (unless otherwise indicated).
