Membership
- No fewer than three members including the Chair.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct inquiries brought forward by the Executive Committee into charges of professional misconduct or incompetence against a MAA member.
- Rule on charges of: professional misconduct; conduct unbecoming an architect; incompetence; violation of MAA Rules or By-Laws; or demonstration that a member is unfit to practice architecture.
- Report its findings and disposition in writing to the Executive Committee (once all appeals and rights of appeal have been exhausted) and provide direction regarding publication.
- Refer a matter to the Executive Director or the Investigation Committee, where in the course of conducting an inquiry, it is determined that the conduct or competence of a member requires investigation.
- Transact other business that may arise.
